If The Parents Are Working, Then How Can They Manage Time To Mentor A Child’s Education?

A few years back it was only the father who used to work outside to earn a living but with the course of time both men and women started working outside home to earn more and more to give the most comfortable life to their kids. Today mothers are not only homemakers but successful doctors, teachers, officers, engineers and……..so on. In the present scenario working parents’ in families are no longer rare. Nowadays the working parents have a dual role to play. On one hand they have to give their best to have a good career. On the other hand, they need to spend quality time with their kids.
The biggest of the challenges for working parents are, how can they manage time to mentor their children’s education? And the only answer to this is time-management. Managing time properly means acknowledging that there are plenty of things to do than you have the time for it do. So, here are a few tips for working parents to manage the studies of their kids along with their job.
1) The first and foremost point is to train them to become independent and explaining them the importance of self-study.
2) To have a healthy communication with your kids. Discussing about their day to day in school as well as tuition or coaching classes. Asking them about the problems they are facing, if any, in studies or in a particular subject. And the most important part is listening to them and helping them to find the solution to their problems.
3). Try to do such type of fun activities with them, which will refresh you and at the same time will help you to educate your child.
4). Make a small library in the house and encourage your kids to read books from the library in your absence instead of sitting in front of a television. This will not only enhance the reading skills of your child but at the same time it will also strengthen the vocabulary power.
5). Set small goals for them and reward them on the accomplishments of setting goals.
6). Never speak about the weakness of your kid rather help him to find ways to overcome it and turn the weakness into strength.
7). Never miss a chance to visit your child’s school on the Parent-Teacher meeting days.
8). Always try to have healthy discussions related to studies on the table during dinner or breakfast.
9).Don’t compare your kid with anyone else but set examples of great personalities in front of them.
10). Try to connect to what your kids learn on everyday life.
So, utilizing proper time management is the only way to make the strain of professional and parental duties a bit lighter and at the same time it also helps you to monitor and guide your kids in studies.
